{"id":96404,"date":"2026-05-20T08:00:29","date_gmt":"2026-05-20T08:00:29","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/jobs.dataaxisnode.com\/kenya\/job\/policy-advocacy-manager\/"},"modified":"2026-05-20T08:01:11","modified_gmt":"2026-05-20T08:01:11","slug":"policy-advocacy-manager","status":"publish","type":"job_listing","link":"https:\/\/jobs.dataaxisnode.com\/kenya\/job\/policy-advocacy-manager\/","title":{"rendered":"Policy Advocacy Manager"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Overview<\/p>\n<p>\tThe Policy Advocacy Manage\u00a0role\u00a0\u00a0is global\u00a0 ( 75%)\u00a0accountable for developing and implementing specific advocacy strategies and contributing to the development of the global advocacy strategy development, undertaking research and analysis, developing policy advocacy content and tools, providing matrix support to colleagues undertaking policy advocacy in different regions, and providing strategic administrative support to the Director of Policy Advocacy.\u00a015% is dedicated\u00a0to advocacy\u00a0support\u00a0to\u00a0specific\u00a0elements of\u00a0DNDI\u2019s\u00a0African regional\u00a0strategy.\u00a0\u00a0The incumbent is responsible to support\u00a0DNDi\u2019s\u00a0efforts to document lessons learned, engage stakeholders, develop champions, and promote policy actions to advance the adoption of progressive R&amp;D policies to meet the needs of neglected patients.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Responsibilities<\/p>\n<p>Specific Job Responsibilities\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\tUndertake research and analysis \u2212including policy landscape analyses, stakeholders mapping, lessons learned by DNDi, etc. \u2212 and develop policy advocacy content and tools including white papers and policy briefs.\u00a0<br \/>\n\tDevelop targeted advocacy strategies to influence policy change\u00a0\u00a0<br \/>\n\tContribute to technical analyses of policies and practices\u00a0impacting\u00a0innovation and access to medical tools, and propose\/ prioritize specific actions where DNDi,\u00a0and partners could be influential.\u00a0<br \/>\n\tCoordinate specific advocacy activities\/\u00a0campaigns\u00a0engaging\u00a0various stakeholders and\u00a0manage\u00a0projects and events.\u00a0<br \/>\n\tProvide matrix support to colleagues undertaking policy advocacy activities in various regions, with a particular\u00a0focus\u00a0(15%) on\u00a0East Africa, African\u00a0Union and\u00a0Africa CDC and\u00a0other DNDI\u00a0departments (e.g.\u00a0\u00a0funders managed\u00a0by External Relations teams)\u00a0<br \/>\n\tCollaborate with the Communications teams to help\u00a0develop and disseminate\u00a0policy positions through opinion pieces, social\u00a0media\u00a0and other means.\u00a0<br \/>\n\tContribute, through internal communications, to developing internal knowledge and the ability of colleagues to\u00a0represent\u00a0policy positions.\u00a0<br \/>\n\tProvide project management support to the\u00a0Policy Advocacy\u00a0Director and team.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u202fGeneral duties\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\tCoordinate policy advocacy team meetings\u00a0<br \/>\n\tSupport documentation, tracking, and delivery of policy team deliverables and KPIs\u00a0<br \/>\n\tThe above list of responsibilities is not exhaustive, and you may\u00a0be required\u00a0to undertake other responsibilities\u00a0appropriate to\u00a0your grade.
