Role Purpose<\/p>\n
\tThe Finance Manager is responsible for safeguarding the financial integrity of the organisation through robust financial control, accurate reporting, compliance assurance, and disciplined financial management.
\n\tThe role provides critical financial insight to support strategic decision-making, ensures adherence to IFRS and statutory requirements, and strengthens governance through effective systems, controls, and audit readiness.<\/p>\n
Key Responsibilities<\/p>\n
Financial Reporting & Strategic Insight<\/p>\n
\tLead the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual management accounts in accordance with IFRS
\n\tProvide meaningful financial analysis and insights to support executive and board-level decision-making
\n\tCoordinate budgeting, forecasting, and performance variance analysis
\n\tEnsure timely and accurate financial reporting across all business units
\n\tReview profitability by project, department, client, or campaign where applicable
\n\tSupport management in pricing, cost control, and resource allocation decisions<\/p>\n
Financial Control & Integrity<\/p>\n
\tOversee the integrity of the general ledger and the monthly financial close process
\n\tReview and validate bank reconciliations and balance sheet reconciliations
\n\tEnsure completeness, accuracy, and consistency of all financial records
\n\tIdentify financial risks, control gaps, and operational inefficiencies
\n\tEnsure timely closure of accounting periods and reconciliations
\n\tMonitor compliance with internal approval processes and delegated authority limits<\/p>\n
Regulatory Compliance & Audit Coordination<\/p>\n
\tEnsure full compliance with KRA and all statutory and regulatory obligations
\n\tOversee VAT, PAYE, NHIF, NSSF, Housing Levy, and corporate tax compliance
\n\tEnsure proper eTIMS compliance and alignment between accounting records and tax documentation
\n\tAct as primary coordination point for internal and external audits
\n\tPrepare and present audit schedules, including:
\n\tTrial balance and general ledger extracts
\n\tTax computations and statutory filings
\n\tFinancial statements and supporting documentation
\n\tReconciliation schedules and audit working papers
\n\tEnsure continuous audit readiness across all financial records<\/p>\n
Systems, Controls & Governance<\/p>\n
\tOversee implementation and optimisation of financial systems.
\n\tStrengthen internal control frameworks, approval hierarchies, and financial governance structures
\n\tEnsure alignment between operational systems and accounting records
\n\tDrive automation, efficiency, and standardisation of finance processes
\n\tOversee proper cloud storage and backup of financial documentation
\n\tEnsure proper segregation of duties and financial accountability processes<\/p>\n
Treasury & Financial Management Support<\/p>\n
\tSupport cash flow management and working capital oversight
\n\tProvide financial input into funding, liquidity, and capital structure decisions
\n\tEvaluate financial performance, cost efficiency, and return on investment metrics
\n\tSupport financial risk assessment and mitigation strategies
\n\tMonitor cash utilisation and liquidity planning<\/p>\n
Team Supervision & Oversight<\/p>\n
\tProvide leadership and oversight to the Accountant and Accounts Assistant
\n\tEnsure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of all transactional processing
\n\tEnforce adherence to financial controls and reporting standards
\n\tReview finance team deliverables and ensure accountability
\n\tCoordinate workflow and finance department priorities<\/p>\n

\tIFRS-compliant financial statements
\n\tMonthly management accounts and executive reports
\n\tBudgets, forecasts, and variance analysis
\n\tTax compliance reports and statutory filings
\n\tAudit-ready schedules and supporting documentation
\n\tBalance sheet integrity and reconciliation reports
\n\tCash flow monitoring reports<\/p>\n
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPEREINCE\u00a0<\/p>\n
\tDegree in\u00a0Accounting, Finance, or related field
\n\t6 years\u2019 experience in\u00a0accounts\/finance
\n\tExperience with\u00a0ERP systems (e.g., Odoo, SAP, QuickBooks or similar)
\n\tHigh attention to detail and accuracy
\n\tStrong coordination skills with\u00a0suppliers and internal departments<\/p>\n
