\tOur client in the hospitality industry is seeking to hire a disciplined and hardworking Kitchen Steward to support back-of-house.The Kitchen Steward will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards within the kitchen, washing dishes and kitchen equipment, handling waste disposal, and ensuring compliance with food safety and hygiene procedures,operations in a fast-paced five-star hospitality environment. . The role requires an individual who is organized, physically fit, detail-oriented, and capable of working efficiently within a high-standard hospitality environment.<\/p>\n
Key Responsibilities<\/p>\n
\tWash and sanitize dishes, utensils, glassware, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment promptly and efficiently.
\n\tMaintain cleanliness of kitchen floors, walls, workstations, storage areas, and food preparation areas.
\n\tEnsure proper handling, storage, and organization of kitchen equipment and supplies.
\n\tSupport chefs and kitchen staff with basic kitchen preparation and operational support when required.
\n\tDispose of waste materials following hygiene and safety procedures.
\n\tEnsure garbage collection areas remain clean and properly maintained.
\n\tRefill cleaning supplies and notify supervisors of low stock levels.
\n\tOperate dishwashing machines and other cleaning equipment safely and efficiently.
\n\tFollow all food safety, health, sanitation, and workplace safety standards.
\n\tAssist in maintaining cleanliness during conferences, banquets, and large-scale events.
\n\tEnsure compliance with five-star hospitality cleanliness and presentation standards.
\n\tRespond promptly to cleaning requests from kitchen and food & beverage teams.
\n\tSupport deep cleaning schedules and routine kitchen maintenance activities<\/p>\n
Requirements<\/p>\n
\tDiploma or certificate in hospitality
\n\tCertificate in Food Production, Hospitality, or related field is an added advantage.
\n\tMinimum 1\u20132 years of experience as a Kitchen Steward within a hotel, restaurant, or hospitality environment is a MUST.
\n\tExperience working in a busy or five-star hospitality setup is highly preferred.
\n\tKnowledge of food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards.
\n\tAbility to handle cleaning chemicals and equipment safely.
\n\tPhysically fit and able to stand for long hours.
\n\tStrong teamwork and communication skills.
\n\tAbility to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.<\/p>\n
