\tSt Andrew\u2019s School, Turi\u00a0 is seeking to appoint a Tennis\u00a0Coach for years 1-13, as well as contribute across all areas of school life.
\n\tThe successful candidate will be expected to evaluate students’ performance, ensuring that all\u00a0tennis\u00a0equipment is in good working order, and educating students on\u00a0Tennis\u00a0game strategies and good sportsmanship while maintaining a professional appearance at all times.\u00a0 \u00a0They will also be expected to contribute to the extra-curricular activities of the School.\u00a0\u00a0

\tThe successful candidate will need to be able to support the School\u2019s aims and Christian ethos.
\n\tCoaching Certification by International\u00a0Tennis\u00a0Federation – ITF
\n\tAt least 10 years of actively playing\u00a0tennis\u00a0at a high level
\n\tExtensive coaching experience
\n\tExperience organising internal competitions and preparing teams for external competition
\n\tFirst Aid experience
\n\tExperience coaching adults and children of all abilities
\n\tPositive experience working as part of a team
\n\tPrevious customer service experience
\n\tExperience working with International Schools is an added advantage.<\/p>\n
Knowledge and Experience\u00a0Qualifications Essential<\/p>\n
\tAbility to deliver a very high level of fun, engaging, safe and informative\u00a0tennis\u00a0sessions
\n\tIn-depth understanding of current\u00a0tennis\u00a0developments.
\n\tDetailed knowledge of the ITF and Kenya playing system
\n\tAbility to effectively communicate with parents, students of all ages, management, and other staff<\/p>\n
Desirable<\/p>\n
\tAbility to lead, motivate and train a team and maintain effective working relationships
\n\tThe ability to confidently hold a conversation in English and Swahili<\/p>\n
Experience Essential<\/p>\n
\tExperience of coaching\u00a0tennis\u00a0across all ages (Ages 3 to 18 years)
\n\tA proven track record of excellent coaching and student support<\/p>\n
Desirable<\/p>\n
\t\u00a0Experience of coaching\u00a0tennis\u00a0and any other sporting activity<\/p>\n
Skills Essential<\/p>\n
\tExcellent communication and inter-personal skills
\n\tWell developed ITF Coaching skills and certification
\n\tAbility to use a range of coaching techniques to coach the students and teachers<\/p>\n
Desirable<\/p>\n
\tEvidence of being able to lead, manage and be responsible for initiatives\/developments
\n\tKnowledge of current ITF and Kenya Playing System<\/p>\n
