The Director will also support the welfare of the staff and help build a healthy and vibrant team approach to Kenya Connect\u2019s work.<\/p>\n<p>Duties and Responsibilities:<\/p>\n<p>Human Resources Duties<\/p>\n<p>\tManage the staff reporting and departing times, including leaves and sick days<br \/>\n\tManage applications for job and internship positions in conjunction with Senior Leadership team<br \/>\n\tOversee job recruitment and on-boarding of new staff and interns<br \/>\n\tIn collaboration with the senior programs director and coordinators, develop key performance objectives and work plans<br \/>\n\tLead semi\u2013annual and annual staff appraisals in conjunction with supervisors<br \/>\n\tEnsure that accurate job descriptions are up-to-date for all employees<br \/>\n\tResponsible for reviewing and managing staff health care plans\/insurance<br \/>\n\tCoordinate staff enrichment, team building and fun programs in conjunction with other staff members<br \/>\n\tIn consultation with the Executive Director, support salary administration including making salary offers, reviews and alignment as per the compensation guidelines and salary structure<br \/>\n\tManage and maintain confidentiality of employee records in compliance with the Data Protection of Personal Information Act (No. 24 of 2019)<br \/>\n\tAssist the ED to ensure the organization complies with all HR statutory reporting and labor laws<br \/>\n\tAdvise management on the legal and other implications resulting from certain HR related decisions<br \/>\n\tAssist supervisors in identifying training needs for staff, identifying suitable trainers or training institutions.<br \/>\n\tEnsure health and safety standards are adhered to by all the staff members<br \/>\n\tOversee vehicle schedules to ensure coordination to support programs<br \/>\n\tOversee servicing of vehicles and other motorized equipment is done on time and at the most reasonable costs<br \/>\n\tCoordinate and maintain service agreements and contracts<br \/>\n\tDevelop and maintain up-to-date, effective security measures to protect the organizations properties and staff<br \/>\n\tManage personnel files including paper and digital records<br \/>\n\tResolve workplace conflict in consultation with Leadership Team<br \/>\n\tAssist in preparation of HR and finance reports for Kenya NGO Board and US Non-Profit<br \/>\n\tEnsure compliance with data protection and ethical data collection standards<\/p>\n<p>Business Administration Duties<\/p>\n<p>\tWork alongside the Senior Staff and coordinators to align program budgets with planned activities<br \/>\n\tReview program expenditure reports and ensure financial allocations correspond to targets and deliverables<br \/>\n\tFlag financial variances that may impact program delivery and recommend corrective actions<br \/>\n\tProvide financial data to support resource mobilization efforts and donor reporting<br \/>\n\tEnsure the effective and efficient use of all the Organization resources in order to keep costs low<br \/>\n\tCreate and maintain effective internal controls for equipment inventory andmanagement<br \/>\n\tOversee budget development<br \/>\n\tPerform a high-level check of payroll reports with the accountant and sign off on wages and salary payrolls for the organization<br \/>\n\tOversee the procurement of goods and materials for Kenya Connect, ensuring value for money, fair pricing, and compliance with organizational procurement procedures<br \/>\n\tProvide oversight to the Accountant and review and approve payments in consultation with the Executive Director.<br \/>\n\tEnsure compliance with internal policies, statutory regulations, and donor requirements related to administration and financial management<\/p>\n<p>Qualifications:<\/p>\n<p>\tA degree in Human Resource Management.<br \/>\n\tAt least 5 years\u2019 working experience in Human Resources preferably with an international or local NGO, and good knowledge of HR best practices and standards, staff medical insurance and Kenyan employment regulations.<br \/>\n\tA full member of IHRM with a valid practising license<br \/>\n\tCPA III or above will be an added advantage<br \/>\n\tComputer literacy and a high level of proficiency with MS Word, Excel, Quick books, google docs<br \/>\n\tFamiliar with workplace safety laws and employee benefits regulation<br \/>\n\tFamiliar with taxation laws<br \/>\n\tMust be highly proficient in English with strong report writing skills<br \/>\n\tDetail oriented with strong interpersonal and coaching skills<br \/>\n\tExperience reviewing program budgets and conducting value-for-money or cost-effectiveness analyses<\/p>\n<p>Submit a cover letter, CV and certificates to
