We are looking for a seasoned Business Development Manager<\/p>\n
\tLead and execute defined segments\/accounts within the market
\n\tDrive consultative, value-based selling and pipeline development
\n\tDeepen engagement with Tier 1 banks, fintechs, merchants, and ecosystem partners
\n\tSupport execution of strategic initiatives across issuing, acquiring, and acceptance
\n\tProvide leadership depth and continuity within the Kenya team
\n\tImprove coverage of high-value clients and opportunities
\n\tIncrease wallet share and client retention
\n\tBetter prioritization and execution of market initiatives
\n\tReduce execution bottlenecks and escalation risks
\n\tClear ownership of accounts and programs
\n\tImprove team coaching, performance management, and resilience<\/p>\n
Qualifications<\/p>\n
Basic Qualifications<\/p>\n
\t10 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor\u2019s Degree or at least 8 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters\/ MBA\/JD\/MD) or at least 3 years of work experience with a PhD<\/p>\n
Preferred Qualifications<\/p>\n
\t10 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor\u2019s Degree or 5 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD).
\n\tFluent written and spoken Portuguese is a requirement for this role
\n\tMinimum 6 years experience in the Banking and or Financial Services\/payments\/mobile network and or Fintech sector.<\/p>\n
Card Payment Experience Essential.<\/p>\n
\tTertiary qualification with a business or marketing degree (preferably MBA)
\n\tCapability to liaise, present to and work with senior level international bankers.
\n\tExcellent knowledge of Visa, other payment systems, card products and the activities of different payment systems in the relevant markets.
\n\tCommercial orientation, interpersonally credible, influential in their dealings and sensitive to a multicultural environment.
\n\tAbility to manage varied indirect reporting relationships at all levels of the Visa and member organisation.
\n\tExperience in influencing developing and\/or motivating people to achieving company and customer objectives.<\/p>\n
