ABOUT THE ROLE<\/p>\n
\tWe are recruiting on behalf of a fast-growing hospitality and events destination based in Ruiru, offering accommodation, outdoor events, conferencing, dining, recreation activities, and guest experiences in a scenic resort setting near Mugutha Dam. The facility hosts weddings, conferences, family outings, corporate events, and leisure activities.
\n\tWe are seeking a highly organized, hands-on, and commercially driven Operations Manager to oversee the day-to-day running of the facility and ensure exceptional guest experience, operational efficiency, service quality, and revenue growth.<\/p>\n
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES<\/p>\n
Operations & Guest Experience<\/p>\n
\tOversee daily resort, hospitality, restaurant, and event operations.
\n\tEnsure high standards of customer service and guest satisfaction.
\n\tCoordinate accommodation, food & beverage, grounds, housekeeping, security, and maintenance operations.
\n\tHandle guest complaints professionally and ensure prompt resolution.<\/p>\n
Events & Business Growth<\/p>\n
\tCoordinate weddings, conferences, outdoor functions, and special events.
\n\tDrive occupancy, event bookings, and customer retention initiatives.
\n\tBuild relationships with corporate clients, event planners, and travel partners.
\n\tSupport marketing and promotional activities to grow revenue streams.<\/p>\n
Team Leadership<\/p>\n
\tSupervise and manage operational staff across departments.
\n\tPrepare staff schedules and ensure proper staffing levels.
\n\tTrain, mentor, and enforce discipline and performance standards.
\n\tPromote teamwork, accountability, and a customer-focused culture.<\/p>\n
Financial & Administrative Management<\/p>\n
\tMonitor operational budgets and control costs.
\n\tEnsure proper stock management and procurement controls.
\n\tPrepare operational reports and performance updates.
\n\tEnsure compliance with health, safety, and hospitality regulations.<\/p>\n
Facility & Compliance Oversight<\/p>\n
\tEnsure cleanliness, safety, and maintenance of all facilities and grounds.
\n\tCoordinate repairs, supplier management, and service providers.
\n\tEnsure smooth running of recreational and hospitality activities.<\/p>\n
REQUIREMENTS<\/p>\n
\tBachelor\u2019s Degree or Diploma in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, Hotel Management, or related field.
\n\tMinimum 5 years\u2019 experience in hospitality, hotel, resort, or events operations management.
\n\tStrong leadership and people management skills.
\n\tExperience managing events, conferencing, or resort operations is highly preferred.
\n\tStrong customer service and problem-solving abilities.
\n\tFinancial management and reporting skills.
\n\tAbility to work under pressure and manage multiple departments.
\n\tProficiency in Microsoft Office and hospitality systems is an added advantage.<\/p>\n
