Role Overview<\/p>\n
\tThis is not a traditional office marketing role.
\n\tThe successful candidate will be responsible for making Picana highly visible, active, and commercially impactful in the market through aggressive trade execution, activations, merchandising, chilled visibility, and field marketing initiatives.
\n\tThe role is heavily field-based and requires someone who understands FMCG beverage execution, route-to-market dynamics, retail visibility, and consumer behavior.<\/p>\n
Key Responsibilities<\/p>\n
Trade Marketing & Retail Execution<\/p>\n
\tDrive retail visibility across supermarkets, petrol stations, kiosks, caf\u00e9s, gyms, beaches, and hospitality outlets
\n\tSecure and improve fridge placement, shelf positioning, displays, and point-of-sale visibility
\n\tDevelop and execute in-store promotions and retail activations
\n\tConduct regular outlet audits to monitor visibility, stock rotation, competitor activity, and execution quality
\n\tWork closely with distributors and sales teams to improve off-take and outlet penetration<\/p>\n
Brand Execution & Activations<\/p>\n
\tPlan and execute sampling campaigns, beach activations, supermarket tastings, sports sponsorships, and local events
\n\tCoordinate branded cooler and chiller placements
\n\tDevelop grassroots marketing campaigns focused on visibility and trial
\n\tEnsure strong execution consistency across all consumer touchpoints<\/p>\n
Social Media & Content Coordination<\/p>\n
\tCoordinate creation of social media content including reels, lifestyle photography, product shoots, hospitality content, and field activity coverage
\n\tEnsure brand messaging and visual identity remain consistent across platforms
\n\tWork with external designers, photographers, and creative agencies where required<\/p>\n
Commercial Performance<\/p>\n
\tMonitor off-take trends and provide market feedback
\n\tTrack SKU performance and outlet-level sales activity
\n\tIdentify opportunities for growth in retail and horeca channels
\n\tDevelop initiatives to increase repeat purchase and consumer engagement<\/p>\n
Requirements<\/p>\n
Preferred Experience<\/p>\n
\t3\u20137+ years experience in FMCG beverages, dairy, alcohol, energy drinks, or related consumer brands
\n\tStrong understanding of trade marketing and retail execution
\n\tExperience working with supermarkets, distributors, petrol stations, and horeca channels
\n\tProven experience executing activations and visibility campaigns<\/p>\n
