Position Overview<\/p>\n
\tThe CBC-aligned ECDE Teacher is responsible for facilitating competency-based learning experiences for young learners. The role emphasizes nurturing foundational skills, values, and attitudes through interactive, learner-centered approaches that prepare children for lifelong learning.<\/p>\n
Key Responsibilities<\/p>\n
\tCBC lesson planning: Design and deliver daily lessons that integrate CBC strands (literacy, numeracy, environmental activities, psychomotor, and social skills).
\n\tLearner-centered facilitation: Guide children in exploration, discovery, and problem-solving rather than rote memorization.
\n\tCompetency assessment: Use formative assessment tools to evaluate learners\u2019 competencies, skills, and values.
\n\tParental collaboration: Engage parents\/guardians in supporting learners\u2019 competencies at home.
\n\tIntegration of values: Instill national values, life skills, and social responsibility in daily routines.
\n\tPlay-based learning: Incorporate play, projects, and experiential activities to build competencies.
\n\tRecord keeping: Maintain learner portfolios, progress reports, and assessment records in line with CBC guidelines.<\/p>\n
Qualifications<\/p>\n
\tDiploma in\u00a0ECDE from a recognized institution.
\n\tRegistered with the\u00a0Teachers Service Commission (TSC).
\n\tTraining in\u00a0CBC implementation and practical classroom application.
\n\tMinimum of 1 year teaching experience in ECDE.<\/p>\n
