In this role, you will be responsible for the smooth running of our Nairobi office, managing logistics, coordinating travel, overseeing supplies, and ensuring that day-to-day operations support a productive environment for the team. You will also support the delivery of HR administrative processes including onboarding and offboarding coordination, benefits administration, HRIS record management, and contract tracking among others.<\/p>\n<p>What you will do:<\/p>\n<p>Office Administration<\/p>\n<p>\tOwn the day-to-day running of the office \u2014 supplies and equipment orders, office utilization, and logistics ensuring timely delivery<br \/>\n\tSupport the planning and coordination of office events and staff meetings<br \/>\n\tAct as a liaison between HR, Procurement, Operations and Finance for office-related tasks.<br \/>\n\tAct as the first point of contact for visitors and external partners at the office<br \/>\n\tEnsure smooth day-to-day operations of the office environment.<\/p>\n<p>HR Operations Support<\/p>\n<p>\tAssist in onboarding and offboarding processes, including documentation, system setup, and coordination with supervisors.<br \/>\n\tSupport contract renewals, including tracking timelines, preparing documents, and follow-ups.<br \/>\n\tAssist in benefits administration (medical insurance, WIBA, pension, HELB) and ensure accurate record-keeping.<br \/>\n\tMaintain and update HR records in HRIS (Personio) and ensure compliance with statutory requirements.<br \/>\n\tAssist with payroll documentation and support HR in performance tracking.<\/p>\n<p>Follow-Up and Coordination<\/p>\n<p>\tMonitor and follow up on office and HR tasks to ensure timely completion.<br \/>\n\tMaintain communication with employees, supervisors, and external partners to support office and HR functions.<\/p>\n<p>General Administrative Support<\/p>\n<p>\tAssist in document preparation, filing, and reporting.<br \/>\n\tSupport HR in executing operational projects and process improvements.<\/p>\n<p>What you should bring:<\/p>\n<p>\tBachelor\u2019s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.<br \/>\n\tMinimum of 3\u20135 years of experience in office administration and\/or HR admin.<br \/>\n\tExperience in a tech startup, NGO, or fast-paced environment where you\u2019ve had to adapt quickly<br \/>\n\tThe desire to use your skills to bring about positive social impact.<br \/>\n\tA genuine comfort with a hybrid\/multifaceted role \u2014 you\u2019re not looking for a pure HR position; you enjoy the variety of owning both people and admin operations<br \/>\n\tStrong organizational, multitasking, and time management skills.<br \/>\n\tStrong communication and interpersonal skills.<br \/>\n\tProficiency in HR systems (e.g. Personio or similar), MS Office, Google Workspace and online collaboration tools such as Slack.<br \/>\n\tStrong attention to detail with the ability to proactively problem-solve and move work forward independently.<br \/>\n\tReliable and accountable \u2014 you follow through on commitments, meet deadlines, and take ownership of your work and outcomes.<br \/>\n\tCan thrive in an agile environment where priorities shift quickly without losing focus or momentum.<\/p>\n<p>What we offer:<\/p>\n<p>\tWork with a smart and ambitious team based in Kenya, Nigeria, and Germany directly contributing to solving the global learning crisis.<br \/>\n\tA financial runway that ensures you have the security and resources you need to excel\u00a0<br \/>\n\tAn open environment where feedback is welcomed promoting mutual growth.<\/p>\n<p>Apply Through:<\/p>\n<p>io.com<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":2,"featured_media":0,"template":"","meta":{"_promoted":"","_job_location":"","_application":"http:\/\/io.com","_company_name":"EIDU","_company_website":"http:\/\/www.eidu.com","_company_tagline":"What We Do In a few years, smartphones will be ubiquitous even in the least developed regions of the world. Our goal is to use the time the child spends with the app - around 15 minutes daily - optimally for acquiring new skills. No support from parents or teachers is required.
