COMMERCIAL AND CONVEYANCING ADVOCATE- Nairobi\u00a0<\/p>\n
\tOur client,\u00a0a\u00a0leading law firm in Kenya, head quartered in Nairobi is seeking to hire Commercial and Conveyancing Advocate to be based in Nairobi. The ideal candidate must be a person of high integrity, hardworking and able to work with minimum supervision, possess good communication skills and self-motivated.<\/p>\n
Duties & Responsibilities:<\/p>\n
\tAbility to prepare security documents and ensure they are properly executed and properly registered
\n\tProvide legal opinion, advice on commercial and corporate transactions and matters relating to property & real estate.\u00a0
\n\tCarrying out the negotiation, drafting and review of commercial contracts, legal documents and ensuring they are duly executed
\n\tOffer advice to clients on the legal processes involved in purchasing & selling of property.\u00a0
\n\tCarrying out the negotiation, drafting and review of commercial contracts and ensuring they are duly executed
\n\tConduct due diligence on conveyancing transactions, prepare sale agreements, completion documents and ensure proper registration of documents
\n\tWork to protect the interest of clients, researching information and communicating with clients.
\n\tConduct research to identify legal ownership of properties by assessing government land registry documents or title deeds if the land is not registered to anyone.\u00a0
\n\tPrepare property lease agreements & ensure contracts are signed on the scheduled date of transfer.\u00a0
\n\tOversee the fast-tracking & diligent handling of all client matters before the Lands Registry, Local Authorities, and Survey of Kenya & National Lands Commission.\u00a0
\n\tLiaising with clients and key stakeholders such as the mortgage lenders, estate agents, land valuers and surveyors.\u00a0
\n\tSending terms of engagement and estimates of fees and disbursements.
\n\tAssist with due diligence and other intellectual property issues related to contracts, agreements and other transactional matters
\n\tProcessing of stamp duty payments and registration of documents at various registries.
\n\tProcure clearance certificates and consents.
\n\tLiaison at the Land Registry and Government departments.
\n\tDrafting conveyancing document and other legal documents.
\n\tDevelop positive relationship with clients and meet clients\u2019 expectations.<\/p>\n
Qualifications & Requirements<\/p>\n
\t3-4 years Post admission experience in a busy commercial law firm\/department with particular emphasis on Conveyancing, Real Estate and projects, Banking Securities and Commercial Law.
\n\tBe a team player, proactive, self-motivated and aggressive
\n\tHigh level of accuracy and attention to details.\u00a0
\n\tAdvocate of the High Court.
\n\tA valid practicing certificate\u00a0
\n\tManagement skills is a must<\/p>\n
