Role Description<\/p>\n
\tThis is a full-time, on-site Restaurant Waitress role based in Mombasa County, Kenya.
\n\tThe Restaurant Waitress will welcome guests, present menus, take food and beverage orders, and provide attentive table service throughout the dining experience.
\n\tResponsibilities include serving dishes and drinks, explaining menu items and specials, handling guest questions or concerns, and ensuring that tables and service areas remain clean and well-organized. The role also involves coordinating with the kitchen and bar teams, processing payments accurately, and supporting a relaxed, friendly atmosphere that reflects the restaurant\u2019s beachfront setting.<\/p>\n
Qualifications<\/p>\n
\tStrong customer service skills, with a friendly and professional approach to guests.
\n\tExperience or familiarity with food & beverage and food service operations, ideally in a restaurant or hospitality setting.
\n\tClear verbal communication skills to explain menu items, take accurate orders, and liaise with kitchen staff.
\n\tBasic understanding of cooking or food preparation concepts is an advantage for describing dishes and specials.
\n\tAbility to stand for extended periods, carry trays safely, and work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
\n\tPrevious experience in coastal or high-volume restaurants is a plus.
\n\tFluency in English required; knowledge of Swahili or other languages is an asset.
\n\tReliable, punctual, and comfortable working in an informal yet fast-paced environment.<\/p>\n
