Role Description<\/p>\n
\tThe Sales Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Nairobi County, Kenya.
\n\tThis role is responsible for driving sales growth across existing and new franchise outlets, including setting and monitoring sales targets, tracking performance, and implementing strategies to increase revenue and market penetration.
\n\tThe Sales Manager will lead and coach a sales team, provide regular field support, and ensure strong relationships with franchise partners and key stakeholders.
\n\tDaily responsibilities include analyzing sales data, preparing reports, coordinating with supply chain and operations teams, and supporting the rollout of new products or promotions. The role also involves conducting market research, identifying new opportunities in rural and peri-urban areas, and ensuring that sales activities align with Mwingi\u2019s mission and values.<\/p>\n
Qualifications<\/p>\n
\tProven experience in sales management, preferably in FMCG, retail, or franchise-based business environments.
\n\tStrong skills in sales planning, forecasting, and performance tracking using data and metrics.
\n\tExperience leading, coaching, and motivating sales teams to achieve ambitious targets.
\n\tAbility to build and maintain relationships with franchisees, partners, and community stakeholders.
\n\tComfort working in rural and peri-urban markets, with a hands-on, field-oriented approach.
\n\tExcellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills in English; proficiency in Kiswahili is an advantage.
\n\tStrong problem-solving abilities, with resilience and adaptability in a fast-growing startup environment.
\n\tBachelor\u2019s degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or a related field; relevant professional certifications are a plus.
\n\tGood understanding of the Kenyan retail landscape and base-of-the-pyramid markets is highly desirable.
\n\tWillingness to travel frequently within Kenya to support franchise outlets and sales activities.<\/p>\n
