Key Responsibilities<\/p>\n
\tMaintaining Patient Records
\n\tCataloguing and maintaining proper patient records OP\/ IP.
\n\tEnsuring systematic filing of all patient records to allow for easy retrieval\u00a0
\n\tEnsuring the security of medical records to ensure that confidentiality is maintained.
\n\tMaintaining a log of all files that are requested noting which department \/ Manager they have been dispatched to, the date and ensures \/ follows up for their return.
\n\tRetrieving and dispatching patient cards \/ files as and when required.\u00a0
\n\tEnsuring that archiving of old files is done.
\n\tEnsure proper disposal of medical records per the organization\u2019s policies.
\n\tPrepare and maintain periodic Ministry of Health reports
\n\tKeep statistics of cost of treatment, top disease patterns.
\n\tMaintaining, recording, analyzing, interpreting and disseminating data on specific cases which will be used prepare statistical reports (monthly, quarterly and annual) on patient statistics per location, disease trends, mortality, bed occupancy)
\n\tCompiling the Annual Health Statistical Report.\u00a0
\n\tAny other duty as assigned by your supervisor in line with the job description.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Person Specification<\/p>\n
\tDegree in Health Records and Information Technology.
\n\tValid licence from the Health Records and Information Managers Board.
\n\tAt least 3 years work experience in a hospital setting.
\n\t\u00a0Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
\n\t\u00a0Attention to detail.<\/p>\n
