directing the daily, weekly and monthly activities and executing planned activities to meet customer requirements, and attain agreed and targeted KPIs and ensuring we are the &#8216;&#8221;provider of choice&#8221; to our clients ; Providing leadership, motivation, training and development of the workforce &#8211; &#8220;making DHL a great place to work supervise the running of a safe and efficient operation, working within clear guidelines to help achieve defined outcomes for the site and the customer(s).<\/p>\n<p>About the role Key duties and responsibilities<\/p>\n<p>\tImplement actions as aimed at reducing or eliminating health and safety related risks<br \/>\n\tEnsure the team applies the Safety Standards and relevant guidelines<br \/>\n\tImplement Behavioral Based Safety (BBS) program daily to confirm behaviors and processes are followed as specified.<br \/>\n\tReport and investigate incidents within the workplace and respond to or escalate issues of noncompliance to safety regulations and procedures<br \/>\n\tImplement defined processes to ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory and local legal obligations \u2022\u00a0Timely reporting of all potential risks, near misses, breakdowns and accidents to your immediate supervisors.<br \/>\n\tCommunicate all relevant DPDHL policies to frontline employees and monitor their implementation on a regular basis<br \/>\n\tImplement the required security measures to protect the site premises, including the safety of personnel, DSC assets and of the customer&#8217;s product for the required area<br \/>\n\tAdhere to the DSC 6 Steps security framework.<br \/>\n\tInvestigate all relevant security risks and implement identified mitigation, where necessary having proposed mitigation options to your line manager for agreement.<br \/>\n\tImplement and supervise the adherence of up-to-date processes, work instructions, standard operating procedures and associated forms to achieve prescribed outputs.<br \/>\n\tContinuously contribute to the improvement of procedures to better achieve the prescribed outputs<br \/>\n\tRegularly update the operational training matrix \/ plan as required<br \/>\n\tImplement the CAPA process, particularly for critical nonconformities, with identified actions taken to prevent recurrence and avoid cost of non-quality<br \/>\n\tLiaise with suppliers based on business requirements, monitor performance and where necessary, propose improvements to line manager and implement agreed improvement actions<br \/>\n\tAdhere to customer requirements in line with DPDHL policy<br \/>\n\tParticipate in customer, regulatory and internal operational audits as required and work with the team to implement the agreed action plan<br \/>\n\tRespond to or escalate customer issues within clear guidelines and recommend solutions<br \/>\n\tSupport management implement continuous improvement activities<br \/>\n\tSuggest local changes affecting the work or team to line manager to further support continuous improvement<br \/>\n\tSupport management with resource planning and management e.g. implement agreed processes to review performance, monitor absence and sickness and address issues within clear guidelines<br \/>\n\tProcess forecasted volume via the RPM system, align forecasted volume with resource plan and respond to our escalate issues within clear guidelines to ensure adequate resource is available to support the planned volume<br \/>\n\tIdentify and escalate training and qualification gaps and conduct induction and technical training for the team<br \/>\n\tCommunicates clear operational objectives<br \/>\n\tWithin the context of responsibilities set by management, on a day-to-day basis, assign tasks, monitor performance and support the team as necessary<br \/>\n\tImplement feedback channels for employees (e.g. Performance Dialogue boards, daily briefing sessions, EOS) to enable active contribution to the improvement and development of the site<br \/>\n\tSupervise the use of infrastructure and inspect the working conditions to the required standard<br \/>\n\tTrack month-by-month budget expenditure in area of responsibility<br \/>\n\tSupport the recruitment, appraisal and disciplinary \/ exit processes and provide recommendations<br \/>\n\tConduct performance reviews and coaching with all direct reports and recommend performance ratings to management<br \/>\n\tImplements site plans within own area of operation<br \/>\n\tMonitor performance of people, equipment and processes and highlight management areas for improvement<br \/>\n\tImplements timely reporting processes and corrective actions for under performance<br \/>\n\tCommunicates operational results<br \/>\n\tImplement the Site Development Plan identified actions for the required area<br \/>\n\tParticipate in the Management Review Process<br \/>\n\tImplement the First-Choice tools and engage in continuous improvement activities and problem solving as directed, owning and delivering tasks affecting the required area within target completion times<br \/>\n\tParticipate in an annual evaluation through the First-Choice assessment tool<br \/>\n\tSupport the environmental agenda and continuous improvement activities to increase environmental efficiency<br \/>\n\tCommunicate and engage employees in environmental improvement, First Choice and defined continuous improvement activities<br \/>\n\tImplement, conduct and coach Coordinators to conduct Gemba Walks and Performance Dialogues to identify areas for improvement. Respond to or escalate issues \/ opportunities within clear guidelines.
