The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting teaching, research, and outreach activities related to the field.Specific Duties and Responsibilities1. Academic and Research Support
\n\u2022 Assisting in the preparation and delivery of practical sessions for students in related fi eld.
\n\u2022 Supporting academic staff in the design and execution of research projects in related fi eld.
\n\u2022 Assisting in data collection, analysis, and report writing for research and consultancy activities.
\n\u2022 Guiding the proper use of tools and equipment.
\n\u2022 Assisting in workshops, practical sessions, and research projects.
\n\u2022 Maintaining stock of lab or workshop materials, chemicals, and equipment.
\n\u2022 Requesting procurement of supplies when necessary.
\n\u2022 Keeping accurate records of resource usage and disposal.
\n2. Equipment Operation and Maintenance:
\n\u2022 Operating specialized equipment related to the fi eld
\n\u2022 Performing routine maintenance on equipment.
\n\u2022 Ensuring all equipment complies with safety and operational standards.3. Quality Control and Compliance:
\n\u2022 Ensuring work processes comply with industry and institutional standards.
\n\u2022 Conducting safety checks and enforcing health and safety regulations.
\n\u2022 Managing data collection and ensuring accuracy in reporting.
\n4. Other Responsibilities
\n\u2022 Collaborating with stakeholders in the relevant industry to enhance practical learning and industry exposure for students.
\n\u2022 Performing any other duties as assigned by the Head of Department.Requirements\u2022 At least a Diploma in Fashion Design, Apparel, Textile, Clothing or a related field from a recognized University.
\n\u2022 Minimum of 3 years\u2019 relevant experience in a technical support role in a recognized University or research institution.
\n\u2022 Ability to operate and maintain equipment relevant to the field.
\n\u2022 Experience in conducting experiments, managing records, and maintaining quality standards.
\n\u2022 Good communication and interpersonal skills to work with students and faculty members.
\n\u2022 Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
\n\u2022 Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
\n\u2022 Experience in laboratory and safety procedures.<\/p>\n
