PRINCIPALThe Council of the Montessori College of Education (MCE) of the Way Ministries, a newly established Higher Education Institution in Blantyre, Malawi, is seeking to recruit a Principal to take the college through processes of registration and accreditation of the institution and its academic programs. This is an excellent and rare opportunity for an engaged, qualified, highly motivated and well-experienced person to fill this post. The Council is, therefore, inviting applications from suitable candidates to fill the position of the Principal at Montessori College of Education, Blantyre.ACADEMIC QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCEReporting to the Council, the Principal is the Chief Executive Officer responsible for strategic direction of the MCE. The successful candidate shall provide leadership and vision to drive registration and accreditation of the college leading to excellence, innovation and growth within the College.\u00a0Prospective candidates shall have:PhD from an accredited university, preferably in the Field of Education OR Master of Education from an accredited institution.Proven track record of more than five years in senior management positions in leadership and management at an accredited education institution preferably Higher Education Institution.Sound understanding of Montessori principles, regulatory policies and process resulting in the college becoming a compliant Higher Education InstitutionProven testimony of commitment to their Christian values\u00a0KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESProviding strategic leadership, vision and support to academic faculty and Heads of Department,\u00a0and faculty members, including their recruitment, development and evaluation.Developing partnerships and ensuring good relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including faculty, staff, students, industry partners, academia, and the local communityPromoting Montessori principles and philosophy in order to foster a culture of excellence and respect of inclusion and diversityDevelop and implement a financial strategy that delivers efficient operations, strengthens the college\u2019s operating position and ensures the financial stability and health of the college.\u00a0Oversee the development, delivery, benchmarking and accreditation, and quality assurance of academic programs of the institution that respond to changing demands of the industry and the regulators.\u00a0Marketing the college by giving it desirable visibility through interacting with government, the public, the donor community and the outside world on higher education issues\u00a0Chairing appropriate committees according to the MCE policies and guidelines; and carrying out assigned or delegated duties by the Council as may be seen fit from time to time considering shown competencesMETHOD OF APPLICATIONCandidates should submit via email their application file which should have the following:An up-to-date CV which includes: names and contacts of three traceable referees, one of which should be from their Church Pastor\/Reverend\/ClerkCertified copies of academic and professional certificatesThe application file should be sent to:The CouncilMontessori College of Education\u00a0Box 2588BlantyreEmail: Jobs@wayministries.orgClosing Date: 4th July 2025<\/p>\n
