Job DescriptionThe OpportunitySave the Children is inviting applications from suitably qualified individuals for the position of\u00a0Project Coordinator\u00a0to lead the\u00a0WFP AICS Home Grown School Feeding Programme\u00a0in\u00a0Chikwawa District.The Coordinator will oversee planning, implementation, and performance management of the project, which aims to improve food security and nutrition for 28,000 schoolchildren through the provision of diverse, locally sourced meals, while strengthening smallholder farmers\u2019 capacity and market access\u2014particularly for women.Key responsibilities include leading work plan development, managing project staff and partnerships, ensuring compliance with donor requirements, and promoting climate-smart agriculture and sustainable natural resource management.This is a great opportunity for a results-oriented professional with strong leadership, coordination, and stakeholder engagement skills, committed to linking nutrition, education, and sustainable agriculture in rural communities.In the event of a major humanitarian emergency, the role holder will be expected to work outside the normal role profile and be able to vary working hours accordingly.\u00a0In order to be successful, you will bring\/have:\u00a0\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0Degree in Agriculture, Rural Development, Agribusiness, Development Studies, or a related field\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0Minimum of 4 years\u2019 experience in market systems or livelihoods programming\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0Strong understanding of rural development, food security, and livelihood approaches\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0Experience working in humanitarian or development contexts\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0Proven ability to deliver training to district and community-based staff\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0Experience with performance and quality management of livelihood programmes\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0Demonstrated experience working with local NGOs and community structures\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0Strong leadership skills and ability to influence stakeholders at various levels\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0Ability to work independently with minimal supervision\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0Result-oriented, with strong planning and organizational skills in dynamic environments\u00b7 Knowledge of youth engagement and gender-sensitive programming best practices\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0Excellent written and verbal communication skills in EnglishThe OrganisationWe employ approximately 25,000 people across the globe and work on the ground in over 100 countries to help children affected by crises, or those that need better healthcare, education and child protection.
