Pharmacy and Medicines Regulatory Authority (PMRA) is a Statutory body created by an Act of Parliament No. 9 of 2019 with the mandate to regulate medicines and allied substances, pharmacy businesses and the practice of pharmacy in Malawi.In a bid to strengthen human resource capacity in delivering this mandate, the Authority is inviting applications from suitably qualified, highly motivated and experienced persons of Malawi origin to fill various positions tenable at its Head Office in Lilongwe. The following are the details of the vacant positions: \u2013POSITION: PV AND POST-MARKET SURVEILLANCE OFFICER (4)Grade: PMRA 5
\nLocation: Regional Offices (North, Centre & South)
\nResponsible to: Regional Compliance and Enforcement OfficerJob PurposeTo assist in the effective and efficient development, implementation and monitoring of pharmacovigilance and post-market surveillance plans, programmes, policies and strategiesKey Roles and Responsibilities1. Process data from source documents and update the database according to established guidelines.
\n2. Draft queries for the missing information in a case for submission to the reporter and make proper follow-ups in cases of non- response.
\n3. Assist in conducting meetings, training refreshers, ensuring training compliance, and maintaining up-to-date knowledge of global drug safety regulations
\n4. Lead, coordinate and support data management initiatives as and when required.
\n5. Assist in organizing the collection of safety reports and mapping of reporting sites
\n6. Assist in quality assurance management of safety data and ensuring that minimum entry requirement of safety data into the Pharmacovigilance database are attained
\n7. Update and retrieve reports from USSD PV local database account and feed them into the WHO PV Database.
\n8. Compile all the serious cases reported and give them to the PV Coordinator for preparation of causality assessment
\n9.
