Chief Finance Officer (NF4)Posted:\u00a014 Jul, 2025Closes:\u00a020 Jul, 2025 at 6:00 PMBackgroundThe National Economic Empowerment Fund Limited (NEEF) is a government-owned Microfinance Institution whose mission is to economically empower ordinary and underserved Malawians (particularly women, youth, and persons with disability) through the provision of quality, affordable and sustainable microfinance services for improved livelihoods.NEEF invites applications from suitably qualified, mature, ambitious, professional Malawi Nationals with a passion for results and respect for ethics and hands-on experience to fill the vacant position.Job DescriptionTo support execution of financial accounting operations, ensuring compliance with internal policies and external regulations, and providing accurate and timely financial reports to aid decision-making.Key Duties and ResponsibilitiesManaging cash flow forecasting, bank reconciliations, and petty cash management to maintain optimal liquidity levelsOverseeing the processing, preparation, and capturing of approved payment vouchers and journal entries within the accounting system, ensuring accuracy and compliance with internal controlsMaintaining accounting books in compliance with the Public Finance Management Act and organizational policiesPreparing accurate financial statements in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), ensuring timely reporting for stakeholdersFacilitating external and internal audits by providing necessary documentation and implementing audit findings to improve financial processesAssisting in managing the budgeting process, including variance analysis, to ensure that departments remain within their allocated budgets while meeting organizational goals.Conducting cost analysis to identify areas for cost reduction and efficiency improvements while maintaining quality standards.Implementing cost control measures to improve efficiencies and reduce unnecessary expenses in the Fund.Preparing periodic financial reportsQualification and ExperienceMaster\u2019s Degree in Accounting or Finance; ACCA or CIMA partly qualified preferred.3 years work of experience in financial accounting roles.Method of ApplicationInterested candidates are encouraged to apply online by clicking the **\u201cApply Now\u201d** button below.<\/p>\n
