Blantyre Sports ClubVACANCY HEAD CHEFOverviewBlantyre Sports Club, a leading sports and recreation club in the heart of Blantyre is looking for a passionate and experienced Head Chef to lead its kitchen. The role involves menu planning, food preparation, and ensuring top-quality food, presentation, hygiene, and safety standards for a great dining experience.Key responsibilitiesTo design a diverse, seasonal and nutritious menus that cater to different customer preferences.Oversee daily kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking and presentation of meals.Ensure consistent food quality, portion control and presentation standards.Maintain high levels of cleanliness and comply with food safety regulations as per regulation.Monitor inventory, control food costs and coordinate procurement of ingredients.Train, supervise and motivate kitchen staff to maintain high performance.Handle special requests, banquets and events with professionalism and creativity.Ensure proper use and maintenance of kitchen equipmentWork collaboratively with management to update menus and improve guest satisfaction.Qualifications & ExperienceA Diploma or Certificate in Culinary Arts, Professional Cookery or related field from a recognized institution.
