\nResponsible to: Head of ICTJob OverviewThe Network and Security Specialist will be responsible for safeguarding the Corporation\u2019s digital infrastructure. This role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining security protocols to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of network systems and data.Key ResponsibilitiesMonitoring network traffic for suspicious activity and responding to security incidentsInstalling, configuring, and maintaining firewalls, VPNs, IDS\/IPS, and antivirus softwareConducting vulnerability assessments and penetration testingDeveloping and enforcing security policies and proceduresEnsuring compliance with cybersecurity standardsEducating staff on security best practices and awarenessMaintaining documentation of security protocols and incident reportsStaying updated on emerging threats and security technologiesOther ResponsibilitiesProviding first-line support and maintenance of ICT equipmentProviding support for Corporation\u2019s ICT applicationsCollaborating with the Corporation\u2019s marketing team for the provision of in-house graphics and creative designs.Qualification and ExperienceBachelor\u2019s Degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related fieldCertifications such as CISSP, CEH, CompTIA Security+, or CISM are highly desirable2 years\u2019 experienceRequired SkillsStrong understanding of network protocols (TCP\/IP, DNS, DHCP)Proficiency in security tools (SIEM, firewalls, intrusion detection systems)Experience with risk assessment and mitigation strategiesExcellent problem-solving and analytical skillsEffective communication skills for technical and non-technical audiencesAbility to work independently and collaboratively across departmentsApplications with a Curriculum Vitae and copies of certificates should be sent to:The Deputy Director Administration & Human Resource
