\nResponsible for: Senior Procurement and Assets Disposal OfficerPurpose of the JobTo facilitate procurement of goods, works and services and disposal of assets in line with the existing and applicable Public Procurement and Disposal of assets legal framework, the Corporation\u2019s policies and regulations whilst ensuring economy, efficiency transparency.faimness. accountabifty.ethical standards and promotion of competition among othersLead the procurement team in the implementation of the procurement planKey Duties and ResponsibilitiesLeading in the development, and review procurement plans, policies, procedures, standards and regulationsLeading and monitoring implementation procurement and asset disposal plans, policies, procedures, standards and regulationsInterpreting procurement and asset disposal policies and regulationsPreparing and reviewing solicitation documents for procurement of goods, works and services.Coordinating the Closing, opening and evaluation of bid documentsLeading in the administration of procurement contracts and ensuring delivery of goods and services in accordance with the contract terms and end-user requirements.Preparing minutes and reports for the IPDC, Management and the PPDA.Liaising with requisitioning units to come up with correct product and service specificationsPreparing and reviewing procurement contract documentsProviding general advice and assistance to staff and management on procurement and asset disposalCompile regular procurement progress reports and submit to the Manager and Director and update him\/her of any issues so that timely remedial measures can be takenDraft addenda\/variation orders to contractsAttributes and competenciesHigh level of attention to detailsInterpersonal relationship and communication skillsMentoring and coaching skillsOrganizational skills, planning, budgeting, work prioritization and time managementProfessionalism and adherence to good work ethicsResilience and personal drive, self-motivationMaintain confidentiality and respectful of sensitive situations and informationMinimum Qualifications and ExperienceA minimum of a Bachelor\u2019s degree from a recognised and reputable university in either Procurement, Logistics Management or Supply Chain Management.Professional membership with preferably Malawi\u00a0Institute of Procurement and Supply (MIPS) and Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (CIPS).5 years\u2019 relevant work experience in the field \/industry.APPLICATION METHOD:
