The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching both English and Chichewa at junior and senior levels, preparing students for MANEB and Cambridge IGCSE examinations, and fostering strong language and communication skills.\u00a0Responsibilities:Plan and deliver engaging lessons in English and Chichewa aligned with MANEB and Cambridge requirements.Prepare students effectively for internal and external exams, focusing on reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills.Assess and monitor student progress, providing timely feedback.Design and implement strategies to support language development across all abilities. Write accurate subject reports and maintain student attainment records.Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching strategies and resources. Participate in departmental meetings, staff development, and administrative tasks. Supervise students during assessments and provide exam invigilation when required. Support extracurricular activities related to literacy, drama, or cultural programs.\u00a0Essential Personal Qualities:Passionate about language teaching and student development.Strong command of both English and Chichewa (spoken and written). Able to inspire and challenge students to achieve their potential. Flexible, dependable, and team-oriented.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Committed to deadlines, accuracy, and continuous improvement. Committed to maintaining the caring and supportive ethos of the school Committed to the safeguarding of children, young people and adults Honest, trustworthy, and adaptable.Willing to contribute beyond classroom teaching, including co-curricular activities.A practicing Christian.\u00a0Requirements:Minimum of a Bachelor\u2019s degree in English, Chichewa, Linguistics, Education, or a related field. At least 3 years of teaching experience (preferred).Experience with Cambridge IGCSE English will be an added advantage.
