JOB OPPORTUNITYVacancies have risen in a well-established and reputable Freight and Logistics firm in the following positions:Job Title: Tyre OfficerReports to: Managing DirectorLocation: BlantyreResponsibilitiesMaintain accurate inventory records, track tire usage, and forecast future needs.Implement and manage a system for tracking tire life and performance.FIFO data entry.Iimplement a preventative maintenance program for tires.Supervise and coordinate tire repairs, ensuring they are performed to a high standard.Oversee the proper mounting, balancing, and rotation of tires.Ensure all tire-related activities comply with safety regulations and company policies.Train and educate staff on proper tire handling and maintenance procedures.Conduct regular inspections of tires to identify and address potential safety hazards.Track and analyze tire performance data, such as mileage, wear patterns, and failure rates.Use data analysis to identify areas for improvement in tire management practices.Supervise and motivate a team of tire technicians and other related personnel.Provide training and development opportunities for team members.Develop and maintain strong relationships with tire suppliers.Prepare regular reports on tire management activities, including performance data, costs, and recommendations for improvement.QualificationsDegree in Auto mobile Mechanic engineering.Proven experience in tire management, preferably within a transportation or logistics environment.Strong knowledge of tire types, maintenance procedures, and safety regulations.Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.Proficiency in using computer systems for inventory management data analysis and Excel.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.A valid driver\u2019s license.Familiarity with relevant software and systems (e.g., ERP, fleet management software) is an advantage.Those who meet the above requirements should submit their applications with a detailed Curriculum Vitae, phone numbers and names of three traceable referees to jobs01514@gmail.comClosing date of receiving applications is 19th September, 2025.Only short\u2013list applicants will be considered.<\/p>\n
