Seeking a detail-oriented Cash Controller to manage daily cash operations, ensure accurate reconciliations, and maintain financial controls across our showroom network.
About the RoleWe are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Cash Controller to join our dynamic retail team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing daily cash operations, ensuring accurate reconciliations, and maintaining strict financial controls across our showroom network.This role is ideal for a trustworthy professional with strong numerical skills and a passion for accuracy and compliance.Key ResponsibilitiesAccurately handle and verify all cash, credit card, and alternative payment transactions received from showroom cashiersEnsure proper documentation is maintained and official receipts are issuedPerform daily reconciliation of tills, ensuring all discrepancies are investigated and resolved promptlyEnsure timely banking of cash and chequesMonitor and enforce adherence to accounting policies, internal controls, and safety proceduresProvide guidance and support to showroom cashiers on financial proceduresAct as the main liaison with the bank regarding POS machines and related mattersEnsure all transactions are correctly captured in the accounting systemManage and monitor petty cash in line with company policiesPrepare reports as required by managementAssist with internal and external audits by preparing documentation and explaining proceduresEscalate unusual transactions or discrepancies to Management promptlyQualifications & ExperienceMinimum ACCA Level 1At least 5 years’ experience in a similar role, preferably within the retail sectorKey CompetenciesStrong numerical and analytical skillsHigh level of accuracy and attention to detailExcellent organisational and time management skillsAbility to work independently and within a teamStrong verbal and written communication skillsHonest, reliable, and able to handle confidential information responsiblyCustomer-oriented with a positive and professional attitudeWhat We OfferA stable position within a growing retail organisationSupportive and professional working environmentOpportunity to contribute to strong financial governance and operational excellenceIf you are dependable, meticulous, and ready to take ownership of cash control operations, we invite you to apply and become part of our team.
