Delivery Driver
Key ResponsibilitiesVehicle & Delivery ManagementEnsure the security of the vehicle, goods, cash, and passengers at all times.Deliver and return goods according to instructions and documentation.Verify that products received or returned match authorized documentation, including cross-verification in loading bays.Collect cash/cheques as per invoices and ensure same-day deposits; amounts above Rs 50,000 must be deposited directly in the bank immediately.Ensure all invoices and credit notes are signed and returned to Grays within 24 hours.Optimize routes, minimize overtime, and help respect target departure times.Transport finished goods safely between manufacturing plants, retail, and distribution centers.Inspect vehicles regularly for mechanical issues and safe operation.Ensure proper housekeeping, loading, and securing of goods in the vehicle.Maintain a driver’s logbook, noting departure/arrival times, client stops, and any abnormalities.Vehicle ResponsibilityEnsure proper maintenance, servicing, and cleanliness of the vehicle.Keep all official vehicle documents up to date (fitness, insurance, etc.) and liaise with superiors for renewals.Permit only authorized personnel to drive or ride in the vehicle.Park the vehicle safely at night according to company rules and hand over keys to security.Immediately report any accidents, breakdowns, or irregularities to management.Environment, Health & SafetyAdhere to Environmental, Health, Safety, and regulatory requirements.Comply with company QSE procedures and promptly report any safety, quality, or environmental anomalies.Qualifications & RequirementsValid Goods Vehicle driving license.Minimum School Certificate.Good verbal communication skills in English, French, and Creole.Proactive, meticulous, and detail-oriented.Excellent eyesight and awareness of Health & Safety hazards.Ability to work extended hours during peak season.ExperienceMinimum of 3 years’ experience as a Goods Vehicle Driver.
