The Panel Beater must strip, repair, replace, fit and adjust body panels after accident damage or modification. This includes repairing body panels, refitting components.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES To carry out repairs on the metallic bodies of vehiclesTo cut cutting platesTo prepare and adjust plates for weldingTo punch rivet holes and use pneumatic tools for rivetingTo repair and replace structural damageTo dismantle parts for EOR (estimates of repairs)To assist in repairing body misalignmentTo remove, replace, and realign bolt on vehicle body panel sections and ancillary fittingsTo remove and replace/fit protector moldings, transfers and decalsTo remove and replace adhesive bonded panels and structuresTo repair body panels (minor repairs)To repair/renew partsTo dismantle accessories/vehicle partsTo perform marking out of platesSKILLSTeamworkCommunication skillsBody repairs skillsQUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCEEducation: At least form 3A minimum of 1-3 years years of work experience in automotive panel worksValid manual driving license
