The Room Technician / Shift Technician is responsible for carrying out preventive and corrective maintenance works in guest rooms and hotel facilities
Key ResponsibilitiesCarry out preventive and corrective maintenance in guest rooms and public areas.Troubleshoot and repair electrical, air-conditioning, and plumbing systems.Attend promptly to guest room maintenance requests during assigned shifts.Perform painting, carpentry, and minor civil works as required.Inspect guest rooms regularly to ensure all equipment and fixtures are functioning correctly.Replace defective parts, fittings, and fixtures in a timely manner.Ensure all maintenance work complies with hotel safety, health, and quality standards.Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in good condition.Report major faults, recurring issues, and maintenance requirements to the Engineering Supervisor.Record completed maintenance tasks accurately in maintenance logs or systems.Assist in the implementation of planned preventive maintenance programs.Support emergency maintenance situations such as power failures, water leaks, and AC breakdowns.Coordinate with other departments to minimize guest inconvenience.Ensure proper shutdown and start-up procedures of equipment during shifts.Follow energy-saving and sustainability practices within the hotel.Adhere strictly to hotel policies, procedures, and professional conduct standards.Perform any other duties assigned by the Chief Engineer or Engineering Supervisor.Qualifications & ExperienceTechnical qualification in electrical, mechanical, or building maintenance is preferred.Minimum 3 years’ experience in a 4-star hotel is mandatory.Skills & CompetenciesStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.Ability to work independently and efficiently during shift duties.Good knowledge of hotel maintenance operations and safety practices.Interested candidates are invited to apply with their CV.
