The Assistant Chief Steward supports the Chief Steward in managing the stewarding department to ensure high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and safety across kitchen and back-of-house operations. The role ensures compliance with hotel policies, hygiene standards, and operational efficiency.

\n What you\u2019ll do:\u2022Assist in supervising daily stewarding operations and staff scheduling\u2022Ensure cleanliness and sanitation of kitchens, storage areas, and back-of-house facilities\u2022Monitor proper use, storage, and maintenance of kitchen equipment and utensils\u2022Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and HACCP standards\u2022Conduct regular inspections and hygiene audits of kitchen and BOH areas\u2022Support dishwashing and waste-management operations\u2022Coordinate with Executive Chef and F&B team on operational requirements\u2022Assist in training stewarding staff on hygiene, safety, and cleaning procedures\u2022Monitor inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment; raise purchase requests when required\u2022Ensure proper chemical handling and MSDS compliance\u2022Support pest-control coordination and follow-up actions\u2022Assist in cost control, breakage control, and loss prevention\u2022Handle staff discipline, attendance monitoring, and performance support\u2022Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations\u2022Assist during banquets, events, and peak operational periods\u2022Act on behalf of the Chief Steward in their absenceWhat We\u2019re Looking For:\u2022HSC or Vocational Certificate\u2022Previous experience in stewarding or kitchen operations\u2022Good knowledge of hygiene, sanitation, and safety standards\u2022Strong organizational and supervisory skills\u2022Ability to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays<\/p>\n
