A Receiving Assistant is responsible for receiving, checking, and recording incoming goods or materials. They ensure that deliveries match purchase orders, report any discrepancies or damages, and assist in organizing and storing items properly while maintaining accurate inventory records.

\n DUTIES AND RESPONBILITIES1Offloading Deliveries:\u2212\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Safely offload goods from delivery trucks or lorries.\u2212\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Arrange goods in designated receiving areas for inspection and verification.2Physical Verification of Goods:\u2212\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Verify the quantity of stock received against the system-generated purchase order and supplier invoice.\u2212\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Inspect goods for quality, checking for damages, discrepancies or expired items.3Quality & Expiry Check:\u2212\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Ensure that all items meet the required quality standards.\u2212\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Check expiration dates on perishable goods to ensure compliance with company policies.4Stock Handling & Storage:\u2212\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Prepare and organise stock for transfer to the warehouse or sales floor after verification.\u2212\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Assist in labelling and categorising received goods.5Collaboration:\u2212\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Work closely with the Receiving Clerk to ensure all physical and system records match.\u2212\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Report any discrepancies, damages, or quality issues immediately to the Receiving Manager.6Any other task from time to time.<\/p>\n
