\n FairStone Ltd is looking for a Cost Controller for its construction site located in Cap Malheureux.Duties & ResponsibilitiesControl and monitor project progress, cost and wastage.Carry out site visits, surveys, assessments, physical measurement of works executed by subcontractors\/internal workers.Follow up on the data input from daily allocation & returns sheets.Issue agreeable payment certificate as per internal workflow.Preparation of fortnightly\/monthly\/quarterly and yearly report.Prepare and compile tender documents, inclusive of instructions to tenderers and preliminaries and general requirements.Evaluate and negotiate tenders with subcontractors.Arrange payment of subcontractors with all the relevant documents attached such as Sign Off sheets, Invoice with Signatures of subcontractors.Perform site visit to verify subcontractors work progress prior to paymentPrepare valuations\/cost projections of the assignment to meet requirements of works in progress.Perform cost analysis and draw up reports on changes to works.Any other duties related to post.Ensure compliance with the highest safety standardsRequirementsDiploma\/Degree in Quantity Surveying.Minimum 2-3 years experience.IT literate with good command of MS Office PackageKnowledge on Buildsmart software will be an advantage.Ability to read and understand drawings and work progression.Excellent communication, interpersonal and problems solving skills.Good financial and numeracy management skills.Clear understanding of HSE building regulations and legal guidelines.Exposure to multiple environments (industrial, M&E, civil works) will be an advantage.NoteIt is highly preferable that the candidate lives in the northern part of the Island.The\u00a0company reserves the right to call only the best qualified candidates for the selection exercises.\u00a0The company also reserves the right not to proceed with the vacancy.<\/p>\n
