Prepare and cook meals while ensuring proper food handling, storage, and kitchen hygiene. Assist in daily setup, buffet preparation, trainee coaching, and follow all procedures under the Executive Chef\u2019s supervision.

\n \u00a0\u2022 Fill in attendance sheets as soon as he \/ she resumes duty.\u2022 Check the meals of the day.\u2022 Liaise with the butcher on the amount of meat required for the day.\u2022 Check the fridge and thereafter informs the Chef and the requisition for the day.\u2022 Verify if the food from the previous \u2018set up\u2019 can still be used by tasting them if necessary and be very careful with date of consummation of each product.\u2022 Starts general set up of the day.\u2022 Chops all the vegetables needed for the day.\u2022 Stores and laminates all products.\u2022 Cooks meals under the supervision of superior.\u2022 Keeps all working environment safe and clean (respect of procedures).\u2022 Clean all kitchen equipment after use.\u2022 Do proper handing over with the next shift.\u2022 Prepare food and set up for the buffet.\u2022 Trains, assists and coaches all trainees.\u2022 Perform any other duties as assigned by Executive Chef.\u00a0\u00a0Qualifications\u00a0Qualification:\u2022 Middle or Secondary Education + Additional training or certificates in the relevant field is aplus.\u2022 Food handler certificate is mandatory.Experience:\u2022 A minimum of 1 year of experience in hotel industry.\u2022 Proven experience working in a top luxury resorts is a plus.\u2022 Experience working in remote island locations is a plus.Technical skills:\u2022 Self-motivated and proactive.\u2022 Strong organizational skills.\u2022 Enthusiasm and willingness to learn.\u2022 Great attention to detail.\u2022 Ability to work in a high pressure fast paced environment.\u2022 Great communication skills.\u2022 Sound knowledge of food health and safety regulations.\u2022 Fluency in English or another language, written and verbal communication.\u2022 Knowledge a second language is a plus.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n
