Job Description
The High School Teacher is responsible for delivering high-quality instruction in their subject area, fostering academic excellence, and preparing students for internal and external examinations under the British and Nigerian curricula, including IGCSE, WAEC, and NECO.
Responsibilities
Plan and deliver engaging lessons aligned with the British and Nigerian curricula.
Prepare students for IGCSE, WAEC, and NECO examinations.
Assess, monitor, and report students’ academic progress.
Develop lesson plans, schemes of work, and instructional materials.
Maintain effective classroom management and discipline.
Integrate ICT into teaching and learning where appropriate.
Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and school activities.
Communicate effectively with parents regarding students’ progress.
Requirements
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree B.Ed., B.Sc./B.A. with PGDE or equivalent in the relevant subject.
TRCN certification is an added advantage.
Cambridge / IGCSE teaching certification is an added advantage.
Experience:
Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience.
Experience teaching British and Nigerian curricula is preferred.
Proven success in preparing students for IGCSE, WAEC, and NECO examinations is an advantage.
Skills
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Strong classroom management abilities.
Sound knowledge of subject content.
ICT proficiency.
Good organizational and interpersonal skills.
Ability to motivate and inspire learners.

Remuneration
Salary: N100,000 – N250,000 per month.
