Job Description

Job Summary
The Vice Principal assists the Principal in the overall administration and management of the school.
The role involves supporting academic excellence, maintaining discipline, supervising staff and students, coordinating school activities, and ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of the school.
Responsibilities
Assist the Principal in planning, organizing, and managing school operations.
Supervise teachers and other staff to ensure effective performance.
Monitor teaching and learning activities to maintain high academic standards.
Enforce school rules and maintain discipline among students.
Handle student welfare, attendance, and behavioural issues.
Coordinate examinations, assessments, and the preparation of academic records.
Assist in developing and implementing school policies and procedures.
Organize staff meetings, training sessions, and school events.
Communicate effectively with parents, guardians, and other stakeholders regarding students’ progress and school matters.
Ensure a safe, secure, and conducive learning environment.
Prepare reports on school activities, student performance, and staff matters.
Perform the duties of the Principal in their absence.
Carry out any other duties assigned by the Principal or the school management.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Education, HND or a related field (Master’s degree is an added advantage).
Valid teaching qualification and relevant professional certification where applicable.
Several years of teaching experience, with prior leadership or administrative experience preferred.
Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
Proficiency in basic computer applications and school management practices.
High level of integrity, professionalism, and commitment to educational excellency
