Job Description
Role Summary
The Store Assistant will support the daily operations of the fashion store and provide excellent customer service to everyone visiting the store.
The ideal candidate should be friendly, confident, well-presented and passionate about fashion. The role involves assisting customers, maintaining the appearance of the store, organising merchandise and supporting sales activities.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Service:
Welcome customers warmly when they enter the store.
Assist customers with selecting outfits, sizes and styles.
Provide information about products, prices and availability.
Assist customers in fitting rooms where necessary.
Offer styling suggestions and product recommendations.
Answer customer questions professionally.
Handle customer requests and enquiries politely.
Build good relationships with regular customers.
Sales:
Assist in achieving daily and monthly store sales targets.
Encourage customers to explore additional products.
Upsell and cross-sell suitable items.
Assist with processing customer purchases.
Ensure all sold items are properly packaged.
Keep accurate records where required.
Store Presentation:
Ensure clothing rails and shelves remain neat and organised.
Arrange garments according to store standards.
Ensure products are properly steamed, folded or hung.
Maintain clean fitting rooms and customer areas.
Assist with mannequin dressing and visual merchandising.
Ensure the store remains clean and presentable throughout the day
.
Stock Management:
Assist with receiving new stock.
Count and organise merchandise.
Label and price garments where required.
Monitor stock on the shop floor.
Report low-stock items to the General Manager.
Assist with regular stock counts.
Help prevent loss or damage to store merchandise.
General Duties:
Support store opening and closing procedures.
Assist the General Manager with daily tasks.
Maintain professional behaviour while representing the brand.
Support events, launches, photoshoots and promotional activities where required.
Requirements
Previous retail or customer-service experience is preferred.
Fashion retail experience is an advantage.
Good communication skills.
Friendly and approachable personality.
Strong customer-service attitude.
Good personal presentation.
Ability to work as part of a team.
Reliable and punctual.
Willingness to learn about the brand and its products.
Basic numeracy and organisational skills.
Reside in proximity to Ogudu.
