Job Description
Afia TV is seeking a creative and strategic Mid-Level Broadcast Media Brand Identity Designer to help shape the visual future of our network.
In this role, you will handle in-studio sessions to drive our on-air appearance. You will be the creative force behind the network’s logos, motion graphics, & unique show identities. If you excel at turning abstract concepts into high-impact, multi-platform viewer experiences and are ready to take ownership of mid-to-large-scale branding projects, we want you on our team!
What we need from you:
On-Air Visual Systems: Design network logos, lower thirds, screen bugs, tickers, and smooth screen transitions.
Motion Guidelines: Create and manage comprehensive brand style guides that outline movement rules, animation speeds, and audiovisual synchronisation
Multi-Screen Asset Creation Produce promotional templates, digital streaming graphics, and large- and small-print designs.
Set & Stage Collaboration: Work directly with studio designers to align physical set backgrounds and news desk displays.
Programming Sub-Brands: Build unique visual identities for Individual shows, news segments, and live sporting events while keeping them seamlessly tied to the master network brand
Requirements & Qualifications:
Technical Tools: Expert proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite After Effects, Bustrator, Photoshop and industry-standard motion or 30 software.
Portfolio: A strong proven video showreel showcasing on-air graphics and title sequences
Broadcast Knowledge: A good understanding of video formats. aspect ratios, color grading title-safe zones, and broadcast compliance standards
Speed & Strategy. Proven ability to execute high-quality design work rapidly to match the fast-paced nature of live media production
