Description
We are seeking a practical and resourceful HR Officer to support the day-to-day HR and administrative activities at our Ajaokuta site.
The successful candidate will work in a relatively lean site environment and will be responsible for providing effective HR administration, office coordination, and local community support.
Key Responsibilities
Manage daily HR administrative activities at the site.
Maintain accurate employee records and documentation.
Monitor and manage employee attendance and leave records.
Support employee onboarding and general HR processes.
Coordinate office administration and ensure smooth day-to-day site operations.
Support communication between employees, management, and relevant stakeholders.
Assist with local community engagement and community-related matters.
Provide support in addressing employee and site-related administrative issues.
Maintain good knowledge of the local environment and coordinate logistics or support services when required.
Prepare basic HR and administrative reports for management.
Support other HR and administrative activities as assigned.
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
2–4 years of experience in HR administration, office administration, or a similar role.
Basic knowledge of HR processes, including attendance, leave management, employee records, and general HR administration.
Experience in community relations, site administration, or industrial/manufacturing environments will be an advantage.
Candidates who are from Ajaokuta or very familiar with the local community and surrounding areas are strongly encouraged to apply.
Good knowledge of the geography, businesses, services, and key locations around Ajaokuta.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and handle multiple administrative responsibilities.
Practical, proactive, and resourceful approach to problem-solving.
