    We are seeking an experienced and results-driven General Manager to oversee the overall operations of our PVC pipes manufacturing factory .
    The ideal candidate must have solid, hands-on experience working in a PVC pipes manufacturing factory, with strong knowledge of factory operations, production processes, people management, quality control, and operational efficiency.
    The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring smooth day-to-day factory operations, achieving production targets, maintaining quality standards, controlling operational costs, and driving overall business performance.
    Key Responsibilities
    Oversee the day-to-day operations of the PVC pipe manufacturing factory.
    Manage and coordinate production, maintenance, quality control, warehouse, procurement, and other factory-related activities.
    Develop and monitor production plans to ensure production targets are consistently achieved.
    Ensure efficient operation and utilisation of production machinery and equipment.
    Monitor production processes to minimise downtime, waste, defects, and production losses.
    Ensure PVC pipes produced meet required quality and industry standards.
    Supervise and manage factory staff, supervisors, production teams, and other operational personnel.
    Set performance targets and monitor the productivity and performance of factory teams.
    Identify operational challenges and implement practical solutions to improve efficiency.
    Work closely with procurement and warehouse teams to ensure adequate availability of raw materials and other production inputs.
    Monitor inventory levels and ensure proper management of raw materials and finished products.
    Oversee preventive maintenance and ensure machinery breakdowns are addressed promptly.
    Ensure strict compliance with factory safety procedures and operational policies.
    Monitor production costs and identify opportunities to reduce unnecessary expenses.
    Prepare and present regular reports on production, operational performance, challenges, and recommendations to management.
    Ensure proper documentation and reporting of factory activities.
    Develop and implement systems that improve productivity, efficiency, accountability, and profitability.
    Coordinate with sales and management teams to ensure production aligns with business demand.
    Ensure the factory maintains a clean, organised, safe, and productive working environment.
    Handle other operational responsibilities as assigned by management.
    Requirements
    Proven experience working in a PVC pipes manufacturing factory is essential.
    Strong hands-on experience in factory/manufacturing operations.
    4–8 years of relevant experience, with significant experience in a managerial or supervisory capacity.
    Strong knowledge of PVC pipe production processes, machinery, and factory operations.
    Demonstrated ability to manage production teams and achieve operational targets.
    Strong understanding of quality control, production planning, maintenance, inventory, and cost management.
    Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
    Strong organisational and communication skills.
    Ability to work under pressure and manage a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
    Strong understanding of workplace health, safety, and operational standards.
    Candidates with relevant qualifications in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management, or a related field will be preferred.

    Cemmax Nigeria Limited is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Batching Plant Operator to oversee the daily operations of our concrete batching plant.
    The ideal candidate will be responsible for producing high-quality concrete in accordance with approved mix designs, supervising batching operations, ensuring plant safety, maintaining production records, and mentoring junior operators.
    Key Responsibilities
    Operate and supervise the computerized batching plant control system to produce concrete in line with approved mix designs and production schedules.
    Conduct daily pre-start inspections of the batching plant, ensuring all equipment and systems are operational before production begins.
    Monitor batching accuracy, material proportions, and production quality to ensure compliance with company standards.
    Coordinate concrete loading and discharge operations with the loading team to ensure efficient and accurate delivery.
    Monitor plant performance and promptly report equipment faults, quality concerns, material shortages, or operational issues.
    Maintain the batching plant, control room, and surrounding work areas in a clean, safe, and operational condition.
    Maintain accurate production records, batch tickets, and daily operational logs.
    Supervise, coach, and mentor batching plant assistants and junior operators to improve their technical skills and operational performance.
    Enforce compliance with all Company Health, Safety, and Environmental HSE policies and Standard Operating Procedures SOPs.
    Work closely with the Quality Control team to support concrete testing, quality assurance, and product compliance.
    Ensure all production activities are carried out safely, efficiently, and in accordance with Company quality standards.
    Perform any other duties assigned by the plant supervisor or management.
    Requirements
    An OND, HND, or Bachelor’s Degree in engineering, building technology, industrial technology, or a related field is an added advantage.
    Minimum of 3 – 5 years’ experience operating a concrete batching plant, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or senior operator role.
    Strong knowledge of computerized batching plant systems and concrete production processes.
    Good understanding of concrete mix designs, quality control procedures, and batching accuracy.
    Ability to identify and troubleshoot basic plant and equipment faults.
    Excellent leadership, communication, and team management skills.
    Good record-keeping and reporting skills.
    Strong commitment to workplace safety and operational excellence.
