    Job Description

    Job Summary
    The Civil Engineer will be responsible for supervising construction activities, ensuring projects are delivered according to approved designs, specifications, budgets, and timelines.
    The ideal candidate should possess strong technical expertise, excellent project coordination skills, and a commitment to quality, safety, and regulatory compliance.
    Key Responsibilities
    Supervise and monitor construction activities to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and engineering standards.
    Coordinate contractors, consultants, artisans, and suppliers throughout the project lifecycle.
    Conduct regular site inspections and prepare detailed progress reports.
    Review structural, architectural, and engineering drawings for constructability and accuracy.
    Ensure projects are delivered within approved timelines and budgets.
    Monitor the quality of materials and workmanship to ensure compliance with company standards.
    Identify project risks and recommend practical engineering solutions.
    Verify contractor work completed before processing payment recommendations.
    Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental HSE regulations on all project sites.
    Liaise with government agencies, regulatory authorities, and consultants where necessary.
    Track project milestones and provide weekly progress updates to management.
    Assist in preparing project budgets, Bills of Quantities BOQs, cost estimates, and work schedules.
    Resolve technical issues that may arise during construction.
    Maintain accurate project documentation and engineering records.
    Perform any other engineering duties assigned by management.
    Requirements
    Education
    Bachelor’s Degree B.Eng./B.Tech. or HND in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
    COREN registration or membership of NSE is an added advantage.
    Experience
    Minimum of
    3–5 years
    of relevant experience in civil engineering or construction, preferably within the real estate industry.
    Demonstrated experience supervising residential or commercial building projects.
    Technical Skills
    Strong knowledge of construction methods, structural works, and building regulations.
    Ability to interpret engineering and architectural drawings.
    Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office Suite.
    Knowledge of project management tools is an added advantage.
    Understanding of quality control and HSE standards.
