    Job Description

    Job Summary
    The Plumbing Technician will be responsible for the installation, testing, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of plumbing, drainage, water supply, and firefighting systems on construction projects. The successful candidate will ensure all installations comply with approved drawings, company standards, and relevant safety regulations.
    Key Responsibilities
    Install plumbing, drainage, water supply, and firefighting systems in accordance with approved drawings and specifications.
    Read and interpret plumbing drawings, layouts, and technical specifications.
    Install, repair, and maintain pipes, valves, pumps, sanitary fittings, and plumbing fixtures.
    Conduct pressure testing, leak testing, and system inspections.
    Diagnose and resolve plumbing faults and defects.
    Ensure installations comply with relevant building codes, project specifications, and safety standards.
    Coordinate with engineers, supervisors, and other trades to ensure smooth project execution.
    Maintain tools, equipment, and materials in good working condition.
    Prepare daily work reports and communicate progress to the Site Supervisor.
    Observe all Health, Safety, and Environmental HSE requirements.
    Perform any other duties assigned by the Project Engineer or Site Supervisor.
    Education
    Trade Test Certificate, City & Guilds, OND, or equivalent qualification in Plumbing, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.
    Experience
    Minimum of
    3–5 years’ experience
    as a Plumbing Technician in building construction or MEP projects.
    Hands-on experience installing plumbing and firefighting systems.
    Experience working on commercial, residential, or industrial construction projects.
    Technical Skills
    Installation of water supply systems
    Drainage and sewage systems
    Firefighting piping systems
    Pump installation and maintenance
    Pressure testing and leak detection
    Reading technical drawings
    Pipe threading, welding, and jointing techniques
    Knowledge of plumbing tools and equipment

    Key Responsibilities
    Develop and implement QA/QC plans, Inspection & Test Plans ITPs, and Method Statements.
    Inspect Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing MEP installations to ensure compliance with project specifications and quality standards.
    Review technical submittals, shop drawings, material approvals, and inspection requests.
    Coordinate inspections, testing, pre-commissioning, and commissioning activities.
    Raise, monitor, and close Non-Conformance Reports NCRs, Site Observation Reports SORs, and Corrective & Preventive Actions CAPA.
    Maintain quality records, inspection reports, and handover documentation.
    Conduct internal quality audits and monitor compliance with ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems.
    Work closely with Project Engineers, Site Supervisors, Consultants, and Clients to resolve quality-related issues.
    Prepare periodic QA/QC reports and recommend continuous improvement initiatives.
    Education
    Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related Engineering discipline.
    Experience
    Minimum of
    3–6 years’ experience
    in QA/QC within the MEP or construction industry.

    Lead infantry teams in combat operations, providing tactical and technical guidance to subordinates and professional support to superiors.
    Perform installation by climbing to heights using scaffolding, ladders, and lifts.
    Used ladders, scaffolding, monkey wrenches, and channel locks to connect and hang the pipe to the ceiling.
    Cut, measure and piece PVC pipe.
    Establish reputation as a subject matter expert and technical resource to troubleshoot issues.
    Provide technical support to help customers troubleshoot their device identifying hardware and software issues.
    Read blueprints and have to cooperate with other companies such as electrical and plumbing.
    Climb ladders, tanks, and towers daily to retrieve and inspect every extinguisher proper location.
    Inspect, test, and repair systems such as sprinklers, dry stand pipe systems, and pull systems.
    Measure, cut, thread, and hammer pipe to specification using saws, torches and pipe thread devices.
    Train subordinates and ensure all employees are medically clear to wear require respiratory personal protective equipment PPE.
    Service and install fire extinguishers, commercial kitchen systems and install commercial fire sprinkler systems in accordance to the FPAN.
    Test fire department hose lines to FPAN standards and provide formal documentation to fire departments of pass and fail hose lines.
    Service fire extinguisher and restaurants good sprinklers
    Install security systems for residential clients with Honeywell equipment and camera installations, troubleshooting equipment and servicing clients to restore services.
