    State Youth Leaders
    under the
    Youth Leaders for Nutrition YL4N Project
    .
    The
    SUN Civil Society Network Youth SUN-CSN Youth
    is the national youth network operating under the
    Civil Society Scaling-Up Nutrition in Nigeria CS-SUNN,
    established in line with the
    SUN 4.0 Strategy
    to strengthen meaningful youth engagement, leadership, advocacy, and accountability in advancing nutrition outcomes.
    This is a
    part-time, hybrid
    leadership opportunity designed for young professionals who are passionate about nutrition, youth development, policy engagement, and community action while maintaining other academic or professional commitments.
    About the Project
    The Youth Leaders for Nutrition YL4N Project seeks to strengthen youth participation in nutrition advocacy, policy engagement, and community action by empowering young leaders to coordinate and drive nutrition-focused initiatives within their respective states.
    Available Positions Volunteer Part-Time Youth Leadership
    Lagos State – 1 Position
    Kano State – 1 Position
    Ebonyi State – 1 Position
    Federal Capital Territory FCT – 1 Position
    Key Responsibilities
    Successful applicants will:
    Provide leadership and coordination for Youth Advocates within their state.
    Lead the planning and implementation of state-level advocacy and engagement activities.
    Coordinate community nutrition dialogues and stakeholder meetings.
    Build and maintain strategic relationships with government institutions, civil society organizations, development partners, and community leaders.
    Support the onboarding, mentoring, and supervision of Youth Advocates.
    Ensure timely documentation, monitoring, and reporting of state activities.
    Represent the SUN-CS Youth Network Nigeria in approved state-level engagements.
    Eligibility Criteria
    Applicants must:
    Be between 18 and 30 years old.
    Reside in the state for which they are applying.
    Demonstrate leadership experience in youth engagement, advocacy, public health, nutrition, community development, or related sectors.
    Have experience managing projects, teams, volunteer groups, or community-based initiatives.
    Possess strong communication, coordination, and stakeholder engagement skills.
    Be able to commit the required time to effectively deliver the responsibilities of this
    part-time, hybrid
    role.
    Preferred Qualifications
    Applicants with the following will have an added advantage:
    Background in Nutrition, Public Health, Agriculture, Social Sciences, Development Studies, or related disciplines.
    Previous experience working with CSOs, NGOs, youth networks, or development partners.
    Experience in advocacy, facilitation, project coordination, or policy engagement.
