We are seeking a caring, attentive Nursery Class Assistant to support the lead teacher in providing a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for young children.
The ideal candidate is patient, energetic, and passionate about early childhood development.
Key Responsibilities
Assist the lead teacher in supervising and caring for children in the nursery classroom
Support daily routines including feeding, toileting/diapering, and nap times
Help implement age-appropriate learning activities and Montessori materials
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized classroom environment
Monitor children’s wellbeing and promptly report any concerns to the lead teacher
Assist with classroom setup, cleanup, and preparation of materials
Support children’s emotional, social, and physical development
Communicate positively and professionally with parents/guardians as needed
Follow all school health, safety, and hygiene protocols
Requirements
Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination SSCE
Prior experience working with young children nursery, crèche, or childcare setting
Genuine love for and patience with children
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team
Basic hygiene and safety awareness
Physically able to keep up with active toddlers/young children throughout the day
