    Job Description

    This is a full-time on-site role for a Farm Veterinarian based in Mbaise, Imo State. The Farm Veterinarian will be responsible for:
    managing the health and welfare of the livestock,
    performing routine check-ups,
    diagnosing and treating illnesses, and overseeing vaccination programs
    managing breeding programs,
    providing nutritional advice,
    ensuring strict compliance with farm biosecurity protocols
    developing and implementing disease prevention strategies
    training farm personnel on biosecurity practices and disease prevention measures, and
    ensuring that all regulatory health standards are met.
    The veterinarian will play a crucial role in maintaining the highest standards of animal care and contributing to the farm’s productivity and success.
    Qualifications
    A Veterinary Medicine degree and a valid veterinary license
    Experience in goat health management, disease diagnosis, and treatment
    Skills in managing breeding programs and providing nutritional advice
    Competence in performing routine livestock check-ups and vaccination programs
    Strong understanding of regulatory health standards and practices
    Excellent communication and organizational skills
    Ability to work independently and as part of a team

    Job Description

    This is a full-time on-site role for a Livestock Officer based in Mbaise, Imo State. The Livestock Officer will be responsible for
    Investigating and analysing different management practices.
    Maintaining accurate production, breeding, treatment, and inventory records.
    Developing and implementing Standard Operating Procedures SOPs across all livestock units.
    Advising management on livestock expansion, productivity improvements, and best industry practices.
    Researching environmental conditions to determine their effect on the quality and quantity of animal products.
    Studing nutritional requirements of animals and nutritive values of animal feed materials.
    Devising more efficient feeding techniques.
    Identifying diseases and causes for concern and mitigating those risks immediately
    Spotting issues that may lead to mortality before they happen
    Researching parasite and disease control
    Qualifications
    B.Sc / HND in Animal Science or Farm Management.
    Must possess at least 3 years experience
    Must understand the dynamics of goat farming
    Should have excellent communication and organizational skills
    Should have the ability to work independently and as part of a team
