Responsibilities:
Overstays
Monitor vessels daily.
Check with Customer Services for list of overstay units
Obtain overstay list
Secure transporters
Create transport orders, with costs, and submit to supplier
Pre-advise the overstay depots
Ensure Navis is updated
Monitor progress until complete and ensure we don’t incur terminal storage
Add exceptional cost in Lara and advise Customer Services
Carrier’s Haulage by Road.
Receive instruction from Customer Services or customer
Secure transporters
Create transport order, with cost, and submit to supplier
Ensure Navis is updated
Monitor delivery until complete and ensure we don’t incur terminal storage
Notify customer and CS of any deviation or exceptions
Add exceptional cost in Lara and advise Customer Services
Rail
Receive rail list from Customer Services
Create transport order, with costs, and submit to intermodal operator
Obtain tracking daily
Advise customer / Customer Services of any delay or deviations immediately
RFIs – resolve within 72 hours
NIF – resolve immediately with responsible party.
TPT Storage – daily
Overstay charges – daily
Check negative margin file
Skills and Qualifications
Grade 12
+ 2 Years’ experience in transport environment
Tertiary qualification in a related field will be an advantage
Proficient on Microsoft Office
Proficient on Navis
