What you will do
Step into a pivotal position as Demand Creation and Area Sales Manager, reporting to the Territory Sales Director, Middle East & Africa. As part of the dynamic Fire Suppression team, you’ll be at the forefront of elevating Tyco’s market presence across Africa. This role blends strategy and innovation—driving growth, shaping long-term goals, forging influential customer relationships, and uncovering exciting new business opportunities across the region.
Based in Johannesburg, you’ll take the lead on expanding and energizing our distributor network, unlocking new partnerships, and crafting a strategic vision to drive sales performance. You’ll work through indirect channels and collaborate closely with internal sales teams, contractors, consultants, and end-users to maximize opportunities and revenue. How you will do it
As Demand Creation and Area Sales Manager, your technical know-how in Fire Suppression products will be your superpower. From identifying channel partners and forecasting annual growth to creating competitive strategies that boost margins and market share—you’ll be the architect of success. Your role will also center around strengthening key partnerships, supporting sales activities, and seizing new business prospects.
In this compliance and project-focused space, you’ll spend at least 50% of your time creating demand—working hand-in-hand with engineering influencers, authorities having jurisdiction (AHJs), and end users/owners.
You’ll also compile strategic reports, analyzing market dynamics, product gaps, growth performance, customer satisfaction, and go-to-market plans—turning data into action.

What we look for
Required
Degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or equivalent
Minimum 5 years in Sales or Demand Creation—ideally within Special Hazards fire protection
Strong influencing skills with internal and external stakeholders
Strategic mindset with ability to design and execute sales strategies
Driven, goal-oriented, and performance-focused
Fluent in English
Willingness and ability to travel
Strong technical communication and presentation skills
Deep understanding of whole life ownership
Ability to build relationships with technical stakeholders and decision-makers
Strategic thinking to align technical benefits with business outcomes
