SPDC and its Joint Venture Partners SPDC is the operator of a Joint Venture Agreement involving the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC), which holds 55%, Shell 30%, Total Exploration and Production Nigeria Limited (TEPNG)10% and Nigerian Agip Oil Company limited (NAOC) 5%. How it began SPDC was originally known as Shell D'Arcy and later as Shell-BP which was jointly financed by the Royal Dutch/Shell Group of Companies and the British Petroleum (BP) Group on an equal basis. The Company discovered the first commercial oil field in the country at Oloibiri Bayelsa State, in 1956 and through a sustained exploration effort had since discovered more oil fields that have firmly established Nigeria as one of the world's major crude oil producers with significant gas potential. What you’ll be doing
Deliver fuel volume and margin targets
Achieve 75% premium fuel penetration
Drive 50% turnover from Non-Fuel Retail (NFR)
Ensure compliance with HSSE standards and Shell Life-Saving Rules
Champion customer experience through TLAG (“Treated Like A Guest”) and Voice of the Customer metrics
Uphold brand standards and site essentials.
What you bring
We’re seeking a commercially savvy, performance-driven leader with strong stakeholder management and negotiation skills.
You bring a solid track record in managing partnerships with retailers and dealers, ideally in the fuel, retail or FMCG sectors. You understand the importance of delivering customer and partner value propositions and have hands-on experience in contract and channel management.
You’re passionate about driving business performance through coaching and capability development, and you know how to translate strategy into actionable plans at the frontline level.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, combined with the ability to influence and lead cross-functional stakeholders, are essential to thrive in this role.
