Job Description
The iCafe at 1 Sandton Drive is looking for a passionate and service-driven Barista to join our team full-time.
This role is perfect for someone who enjoys creating quality coffee, thrives in a dynamic retail environment, and values customer interaction.
The successful candidate will work five days a week, including Saturdays, in line with retail hours.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and serve high-quality hot and cold beverages, including speciality coffee and teas, in line with iCafe standards.
Deliver outstanding customer service by engaging with guests, taking orders accurately, and offering knowledgeable recommendations.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organised café environment, adhering to hygiene and health and safety regulations at all times.
Operate the point-of-sale system efficiently and manage transactions with attention to accuracy.
Restock ingredients and consumables throughout the shift and ensure the display area remains appealing and well-presented.
Support daily café operations and collaborate effectively with the broader iCafe and iStore team.
Represent the iStore and iCafe brands professionally, ensuring a positive and memorable experience for all customers.
Requirements:
Completed Matric
Previous barista or café experience preferred.
Passion for coffee and creating excellent customer experiences.
Friendly and approachable, with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Able to multitask and remain calm under pressure.
Punctual, reliable, and a strong team player.
Working Hours:
5 days per week (including one Saturday), based on a retail shift schedule.
Flexibility for weekday shifts, including morning and afternoon coverage.
