The Opportunity
Caterpillar is looking for a Strategy Consultant to join the Africa Strategy Team (EAME Distribution). In this role, you’ll drive strategic project execution to deliver on Africa Must Wins, working closely with district teams and business partners to support growth in the Construction Industries and accelerate Digital Solutions adoption across Africa.

What You’ll Do
This role is ideal for someone with experience in Construction Industries, Project Management, and Digital Strategy. You’ll lead strategic initiatives, structure solutions, and engage stakeholders to deliver measurable outcomes. You’ll help shape the future by enabling growth, improving customer outcomes, and delivering real business impact.
Key skills and Responsibilities
Project Management – Lead and execute complex, cross-functional initiatives. Proven ability to align teams and deliver results across streams including sales, digital, and operations. Familiarity with Six Sigma and structured problem-solving is a plus.
Creative Problem Solving – Comfortable navigating ambiguity and driving innovative solutions. Strong ability to synthesize insights and trends into forward-thinking strategies.
Stakeholder Engagement & Communication – Build trust with internal and external stakeholders. Strong written and verbal skills tailored to diverse audiences.
Relationship Management – Foster collaboration, ensure stakeholder alignment, and drive follow-through on commitments.
Strategic Thinking & Decision Making – Turn strategy into action. Confident in using data to create clarity, direction, and strategic choices.
Digital Fluency – Translate digital trends into business solutions. Champion the adoption and execution of digital tools.
Customer Focus – Understand customer needs, define solutions across short- and long-term horizons, and continuously evaluate impact.
Data Gathering & Analysis – Confident working with complex data. Skilled in identifying gaps and implementing new data sources and systems.
What will put you forward:
A completed bachelor’s degree (required)
Minimum of 5+ years’ experience in strategy, project management, or digital operations
Experience in Construction Industries or working with industrial distribution networks
Familiarity with Six Sigma or structured problem-solving methodologies is a plus
Additional Information
Travel Requirement: Approximately 20% travel across the region may be required to support strategic initiatives and stakeholder engagement.
Work Arrangement: This is a full-time onsite role, with presence required five days a week at the local office.
