Job Description
Responsible for making batches of in specification UREA/UAN/NK
Loading of Urea tankers
Offloading of Urea(Raw material)
Required outputs: functional
Strictly follow all Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s), Work instructions (WI’s), and company SHEQ (Safety, Health, Environment and Quality) standards.
Safely load Urea 43% using the loading gantry, ensuring correct quantities are loaded; report any discrepancy immediately to the Team Leader.
Required to complete and sign checklists, including bulk loading, dangerous goods, vehicle driver compliance, forklift inspections, and job cards.
Maintain a clean and orderly plant environment, promptly report unsafe or faulty equipment to the Team Leader.
Assist with stocktakes and other operational task as required, including work in areas outside your usual scope as directed by the Team Leader or Production Superintendent.
To undertake any legal ad hoc tasks for which the incumbent is competent as directed by Management.
To ensure that machinery/equipment under the incumbent’s responsibility is kept in a safe and good working condition.
Required to comply with all occupational health and safety requirements and remain alert to the hazardous nature of materials handled.
Ensure accurate and honest reporting of incidents, near misses and safety hazards.
To actively support and participate in maintaining all SHEQ Management Systems standards/requirements.
To adhere to all internal control policies as directed by Management.
Qualifications & Experience
Matric / Grade 12.
Diploma or certificate in chemical plant operations related courses advantageous.
Minimum of 1 year’s chemical plant operation experience in Production and items allied thereto.
Must be able to drive a forklift, be medically fit to drive a forklift and be in possession of a valid forklift driver’s license.
Basic computer literacy skills.
Required to work shifts.
Knowledge of SHEQ Management Systems standard/requirements advantageous
